Low In Carbon.
High On Speed.
The Internet causes around 4% of global emissions, which is more than the airline industry, and it's growing by around 5% per year. With a complex infrastructure and a large number of resources to power it, it quickly becomes obvious:
We use design to reduce the carbon footprint of digital products. Our websites emit on average 70% less carbon and load in less than a second. Low impact on the planet. High value for business.
Clear and effective messages use fewer resources, lowering the use of energy.
Lightweight websites naturally load faster meaning they perform and convert better.
Our digital products are powered by low-carbon energy sources such as wind, solar or hydro.
Better websites for those building a better world
We have great clients from different sectors, all on a mission to make the world a better place.
We highlight their stories and help them create low-carbon experiences online.
Hey Low is a collaboration between two designers, Saskia 🇳🇿 🥝 and Nico 🇫🇷 🥐
We believe design has an important role in our transition to better future. That it shouldn’t only look good, but do good.
We met in 2018 while working at Precious Plastic, an open-source project driving a community-led, decentralised approach to plastic recycling. While there, we started digging into the carbon footprint of the digital industry.
Combining more than 20 years of experience working in digital with premium brands and organisations, we launched Hey Low to put our skills in the service of greater good while contributing on building a greener version of the Internet.
